Morro Bay State Park

 Site 37, right next to the restrooms and the dumpsters, is one of the last sites to go. We were happy to get it and even happier that the dumpsters weren't stinky. :D Amenities include tables, fire rings, restrooms, showers, fresh water and a dump station. About twenty sites have hookups.

The accessible sites have large  parking pads and concrete under the table and fire ring. The table has an extended top and the fire ring has high sides. 

 The Marina Peninsula Trail, an accessible dirt and boardwalk trail, is located across Main Street from the campground. The total walk/roll from the campground and around the trail loop is about a mile. There's also a parking lot that is large enough for any vehicle if you chose to not walk from the campground. 

 

The Morro Bay Museum of Natural History is a short distance west of the campground on Main Street. Th exhibits cover the coastal environment and changes made by man. They are geared toward children but educational for adults too.  

The museum is accessible. A non-accessible path leads from the campground entrance to the museum. A short accessible parking space is located in the main lot. RVs can be parked in the second lot however there's a steep climb to the museum entrance. Campground   35.34702, -120.83939
