Chrysler Museum of Art

  The Chrysler Museum got a wonderful donation of art in 1971 from Walter Chrysler, heir to a fortune from of the Chrysler Corporation. Walter began collecting when he was in his early twenties, focusing mainly on  twentieth-century art, American and Old Master paintings, sculpture, and glass. The glass collection is amazing but the museum contains so much more - Asia, Africa, and Pre-Columbian America art; photography, and contemporary art. And it’s free!

 
 

  The museum is accessible. We did not visit the Glass Studio, located on the other side of Grace Street, or the Myers House which is about 1/2 miles away.

  The parking lot is small. We fit with our 25’motorhome by backing up over the landscaping but larger RVs will have to be parked on the surrounding street. Free and metered parking is available. Museum  36.85607, -76.29248
