No seat covers yet, Waking up to a Winter Wonderland, Early morning texting with Jacob :)

Well, here it is Monday morning at 0415.  Been up since about 0300 texting with Jacob a bit.  Funny, I had been awake earlier thinking about him and if he got his package yet. Also, what to send him for Christmas besides $$.  Heard my phone ding a little later and it was him. :)

Tossed and turned some more and decided might as well get something done, before waking Ken.

Friday morning we headed for Reno for our appointment at 1100 at Motosheep to have our seat covers installed in the Tundra.  We took 2 cars so we could run around instead of having to stand around waiting for the install.

We headed to Total Wine to pick up our online order. Then to Cabela's as Ken wanted to talk to them about having them sell a gun he really doesn't want anymore. Got the info and they will buy it from him. He found a case for another. Checked ammo and their shelves are empty. I haven't really found anything there since they were bought by Bass Pro so we headed out.

On the way back towards Motosheep we got a call and the seat covers don't fit. I waited in the car while Ken went in, he ended up buying some custom covers that will take 4 to 5 weeks to make.

Then to Betsy's and our Linner.  By the time we got home, our day was done pretty much.

Saturday morning was a stay at home day.  I started out by baking some treats for us, some to eat and some for the freezer.  Ken had taken a couple of ham bones out of the freezer and was making up a delicious concoction outside using our cast iron dutch oven. Ham, beans, onions, celery and before he was done he added some green beans.  I have to say it turned out delicious! It was really cold so we had a fire going all day.  The weather people said to expect snow overnight..we could only hope!

Ken's Dutch Oven cooking!
Treats made with Almond flour and coconut flour..All yummy so far LOL..

Later in the day we watched a couple of movies, he even put a Christmas one on for me. Operation Santa Drop, too cute and loosely based on the Air Force's project of the same name.

Ken's Dutch Oven Cooking...can't you just smell it?! YUM!

Sunday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland! So cold and so beautiful. We love when we get snow because we don't get it very often, so for us it's exciting! Both of us agree that in the 7 1/2 years we lived here this was the most we've gotten in one snowfall, 10 inches or a little more in places!

So now I'll overload us with snow pictures haha. :)

Daddy's bird bath gained about a foot in height!

Really about 1600..time is off...
Clear and cold!
Now we can see the mountains...

This morning we are heading for Carson City for Ken's last lung appointment with Dr. Foster. If it weren't for this man and his persistence to find out what was going on with Ken last year, I hate to think where we'd be this year.

We'll be visiting Walmart and CAL Ranch while we're in town and then somewhere for Linner, because that's the way it goes when your trip is at least 150 miles round trip.

20 degrees here going for a whopping high of 36!

Time to wake the hubby and visit with our friends! Have a great day!
