Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum
When it opened in 1930, the factory showroom of Auburn Car Company was as beautiful as the luxury cars that filled the room. After the factory closed in 1937 the showroom was a parts and restoration center for Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg cars. The building was sold in 1960 and went through a series of owners before being bought in 1973 by the Auburn Automotive Heritage Inc. After a year of restoration it was opened as a museum and once again cars could be displayed in the gorgeous art deco showroom. The museum contains about 120 expertly restored automobiles. Exhibits cover Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg cars; other early cars made in Indiana; race cars; and automobile design.
The museum is accessible.
The parking is large enough for any RV. This is a Harvest Hosts site so members may stay overnight in the wedge shaped lot between Wayne Street and Van Buren Street. Park at the north end if you want to plug into the electric outlets. Museum 41.35587, -85.05679
