Great Valley Museum

A gift of taxidermied  birds and animals forms the basis of this small museum. The animals are nicely displayed in lifelike dioramas representing the various ecosystems in California. The hands-on area for kids features a wall of terrariums containing snakes and reptiles. The planetarium has shows on Fridays and Saturdays.
The museum is accessible. It's impossible to view the animals in the top row of terrariums in the hands-on area. We did not visit the planetarium.

The parking lots on the corner of 2nd Street and Blue Gum Ave are the best places to park an RV. Unlike many college campuses this one has plenty of parking. Look for the ticket dispensers to pay the $2.00 parking fee. The tickets are good for the entire day in any lot. Parking is free on weekends. There aren’t any directional signs to the museum so it’s a little hard to find. Walk/roll east on B Street and you’ll spot the planetarium doom on the left. The sidewalks and curb cuts are in good condition. Museum  37.66137, -121.03979
