Maumelle Park - COE

Views of the Arkansas River, spacious sites, and mature trees makes this is a very pretty campground but lack of vegetation between the sites means little privacy. All of the sites have water and electric hookups. Of the 6 sections, E loop is the only one that is first come/first serve.

None of the sites are designated as accessible. We didn’t have reservations and were assigned a site with a narrow pad, a high drop to the ground, and an unusable table. We asked to switch sites and picked a fairly nice one in E loop but after walking through the entire campground we saw other sections that were even better. The sites in B loop are a bit wider with a river view. Some of the sites in A loop and all of the sites in F loop are extra wide to allow room for a towed or tow vehicle. Most have free standing, usable tables.

The campground also has 10 Medical Extended-Stay sites for UAMS patients who are undergoing long term treatment. This is the first time that we seen anything like this offered by a campground.

A short paved trail starts in the campground and makes a loop through the woods. Wheelchair users may need assistance due to steep sections.
