Georgian Bay - Bone Island
Among a group of tightly arranged islands near the mainland lies Bone Island, with a section owned by Parks Canada. Out of the normal channels and small, this park seems to be seldom visited. Last Dance and crew were able to enjoy the park in solitude.
As with many of Parks Canada facilities, this park is not staffed. Canada trusts its citizens, and we American visitors, to respect the property and care for it properly. There is a dockage fee, which is paid by inserting payment into an envelope and dropping it into a box. Trust is an interesting aspect. The brown boxes in back are trash cans - bear proof ones constructed of steel. There is wildlife in these parts.
The wildlife that visited Last Dance during our visit was of the less threatening variety.
The two weather apps on the phone disagreed as to the temperature, but both had Last Dance in Tiny, Canada. Hard to think of such a large place as Canada having a town named Tiny.
